Louis Vuitton expands its Pierre Legrain Homage Collection with a new piece, the Kubic Armchair, unveiled during Paris Design Week 2026, as part of the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades Collection.

On the occasion of Paris Design Week 2026, the House unveils the Kubic armchair, a new piece from its Pierre Legrain Homage Collection. This exclusive piece will be presented alongside the full range of new Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades creations in an exhibition running from September 10^th to September13^th 2026. This new collection, first revealed at the Palazzo Serbelloni during the Milan Design Week 2026, highlights the dialogue between heritage, art and contemporary creativity at the heart of the House’s DNA.

Since 2012, Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades have epitomised the House’s creative audacity in design. These limited-edition pieces celebrate the gathering of renowned artisans and contemporary design talents. In 2025, Louis Vuitton has continued to explore the world of design and home decor opening a new chapter with the launch of its Home Collections. An entire universe is dedicated to art de vivre for the very first time. Alongside Objets Nomades, the Louis Vuitton Home Collections are bringing together a new range of furniture and lighting on an unprecedented scale, complete with decor lines, home textiles, tableware and unique games.

Pierre Legrain Homage Collection

As part of the ongoing celebrations surrounding the centenary of the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts, the Pierre Legrain Homage Collection offers a contemporary perspective of the work of this visionary artist — decorator, illustrator, bookbinder, and cabinet-maker.

An artistic collaborator of the House in the 1920s, Pierre Legrain played a significant role in the history of Louis Vuitton furniture, creating the House’s very first piece: the Louis Vuitton Dressing Table. Today, this heritage is brought to life once again through a collection where geometric precision, richness of materials and exceptional savoir-faire intertwine.

Since its foundation in 1854, Louis Vuitton has maintained a close connection with the decorative arts. Under Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s direction in the 1920s, the House embraced new forms of expression, expanding its creative universe beyond travel. The 1925 Exhibition marked a defining moment, firmly establishing Louis Vuitton in the Art Deco movement.

Today, this influence endures through a contemporary vision in which creativity and savoir-faire remain intrinsically connected.

The Kubic Armchair

The centrepiece of this presentation, the Kubic armchair embodies the timelessness of the Art Deco style. Reinterpreting a historic model conceived by Pierre Legrain and commissioned by Jacques Doucet in 1923, it is defined by a striking geometric construction with cubic lines. Its trapezoidal backrest and faceted armrests covered in Nomade leather—a signature of the House—are complemented by rosewood side legs, reflecting influences at the crossroads of Art Deco and Cubism. This exceptional piece showcases the virtuosity of Louis Vuitton’s leatherworking savoir-faire and the excellence of its cabinet-making craftsmanship. A true aesthetic statement, the Kubic armchair exemplifies Louis Vuitton’s ability to unite heritage with contemporary creation. Alongside pieces drawn from the archives of Pierre Legrain, Charlotte Perriand and Fortunato Depero, the collection is enriched by new creations from Estudio Campana, as well as pieces by Raw Edges and Franck Genser. Together, they create a world where innovation, craftsmanship, and audacity push the boundaries of design.
