MAREA SS26 “canovacci”

Domestic ritual becomes language. Tablecloths, napkins, tea towels: ordinary fabrics displaced, transformed into garments. Intimacy translated onto the body, the everyday rewritten. A reduced palette – white, red, blue – interrupted by erratic accents. Rigor and fluidity coexist; function becomes ornament, the home becomes runway.

The SS26 collection by MAREA explores the dialogue between daily ritual and representation. The domestic sphere becomes a field of investigation: tablecloths, napkins, tea towels. Fabrics that belong to the intimacy of the home are transformed into garments, acquiring a new symbolic power. The table, a place of encounter and sharing, is transposed onto the body. Jacquard textures, kitchen checks, fine stripes, and raised embroideries layer into sartorial silhouettes oscillating between rigor and fluidity. It is an exercise in displacement: functionality elevated to ornament, the ordinary rendered extraordinary.

The palette is reduced, distilled. White, red, and blue construct a primary grammar, visual memory of table linens and household fabrics. Into this foundation erupt unexpected accents—out-of-register tones that fracture harmony, introducing a playful, subversive gesture.

MAREA redefines aesthetic codes by transforming domestic ritual into fashion language. Intimacy and formality converge: the home becomes runway, and elegance is measured in the ability to rewrite the everyday.
