For Spring/Summer 2027, Rami Al Ali turns his gaze towards a garden transformed by rain.

Titled “The Garden After Rain,” the new Ready-to-Wear collection captures the fleeting stillness that follows a summer storm; when petals have fallen against darkened stone, stems bend beneath the weight of water, and the landscape emerges softened, saturated and quietly renewed.

Rather than depicting nature literally, Rami Al Ali explores the subtle ways water alters what surrounds it: its weight, colour, movement and structure. The result is a collection defined by fluidity, transformation and a heightened attention to the details revealed only in moments of stillness.

Fluid fabrics descend in elongated lines, evoking garments still carrying the weight of moisture, while lighter layers create an impression of mist, evaporation and air. Silhouettes move between softness and structure, allowing the fabric itself to become an expression of movement — falling, gathering and releasing across the body.

Embroidery follows the same organic language. Instead of traditional floral arrangements, embellishment develops intuitively across the silhouette, gathering and dispersing like petals and water carried by the rain. The effect is delicate yet deliberate, creating moments of texture that appear to emerge naturally from the fabric.

The collection’s palette mirrors the garden’s transformation after the storm. Chalk and rinsed ivory provide a quiet foundation, contrasted with bruised blushes, softened celadon, saturated greens and rain-washed blues. Touches of muted metallic light introduce the reflective quality of water catching the first light as the clouds begin to clear.

At its heart, the SS27 collection is organised around four evolving states: rinsed neutral, bruised bloom, saturated stem and cleared air. Together, they create a visual journey from the weight and intensity of the storm towards the clarity that follows.

With The Garden After Rain, Rami Al Ali continues his exploration of femininity through a language of refined craftsmanship, movement and emotion. Nature is not reproduced but distilled; its fleeting transformations translated into fluid silhouettes, intricate embroidery and a palette that recalls a landscape moment after the rain has passed.
