Dior presents the Winter 2026-2027 Collection. Between history and spontaneity, the House reimagines its codes through youthful flânerie, Poiret echoes and a new language of cultivated contradiction.
The play on history and affluence evolves, absorbed into a new constellation of influences.
The youthful characters envisioned by Jonathan Anderson for the recoding of the House roam Paris like modern-day flâneurs.
Wandering aimlessly, they arrive at the Dior boutique on Avenue Montaigne and notice, set into the pavement nearby, a small commemorative plaque bearing the name Paul Poiret. In his heyday, the couturier — celebrated for his fluid forms and for drawing on references from North Africa, the Middle East and East Asia — worked just steps away from this address.
The encounter acts as a catalyst. Jolted into action, the Dior aristo-youth forges new stylistic connections, guided by joy and spontaneity, emerging with spiky yellow hair, embroidered epaulettes and an air of eclectic opulence.
Seemingly contradictory ideas are woven together: the codes of formality, Dior tropes, echoes of Poiret, denim and parkas. Style is treated as discourse.
Tailoring is slender and precise — elongated jackets, shrunken blazers, tailcoats, cropped Bar jackets and lean trousers — while outerwear merges the technical and the opulent. The masculine and feminine divide is joyfully blurred. Donegal tweeds, velvets, jacquards and embroideries animate a sombre palette.
Dressing becomes a game of unbridled associations, where old and new collide with spontaneous ease.
