House of Dior Shinsaibashi. The new store in Osaka, Japan. Over four floors, Dior collections are presented alongside an installation of artworks in a sequence of interiors designed by Peter Marino.
Celebrating the ties that bind Dior and Japan, the House is opening a new House of Dior at the heart of Osaka’s Shinsaibashi district.
The undulating façade, designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, evokes the fluid drapery of Monsieur Dior’s dresses.
The interior – designed by architect Peter Marino – unfolds across four floors in an immersive atmosphere enhanced by Dior’s signature codes and punctuated by a selection of remarkable works of art. A showcase housing the Maison’s various worlds – from ready-to-wear to accessories and leather goods, from jewellery to perfumes.
Extending this enchantment, the Monsieur Dior restaurant promises a timeless interlude. Conceived by Anne-Sophie Pic, the world’s most Michelin-starred female chef, the menu features a selection of culinary creations that reinterpret Dior’s iconic motifs, from cannage to the oval, in a fascinating dialogue between French haute cuisine and Japanese culture.
A magical destination where the very essence of the Dior dream comes to life, to be discovered from 21 May.
