The LV Diamonds collection also showcases an exclusive diamond cut that required several years of research and development. The LV Monogram Star cut – the most precious interpretation of the Monogram canvas designed in 1896 by Gaston Vuitton – heightens each diamond’s gleam, bringing to light every perfectly symmetrical petal’s luminosity, volume, and depth. A masterstroke that imbues such radiant modernity into diamonds requires truly exceptional rough gemstones. In this vivid illustration of technical prowess, the orientation of each of the diamond’s 53 facets (compared to the 57 facets of a traditional brilliant-cut diamond) was painstakingly studied, cut, and polished by hand to capture as much light as possible.
The boldness of this cut spotlights the contemporary allure of these three new, utterly distinctive pieces: the collection’s single hoop, pair of hoops, and ear cuff depict a creative take on the art of wearing diamonds on a daily basis.
The three new pieces are complemented by a ring set with a diamond-paved Monogram Flower and a round-cut diamond – a nod to the collection’s pendant. As befits the highest quality standards found in the world of jewelry, every gemstone is paired with the noblest of metals: gold and platinum.
Every diamond in the collection comes with a digital certificate developed by Aura Blockchain Consortium. This unfalsifiable, unique, and transferable document lists the criteria by which the diamond’s quality is assessed, as per GIA (the Gemological Institute of America) standards.
As an immersive certificate, it also establishes a new benchmark in transparency and traceability – step by step, every phase of the gemstone’s trajectory is made visible, from its country of origin (illustrated with a photograph of the uncut stone) all the way to the store.
